The Students Listening Comprehension Trought Western Song
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the The students’ difficulties in listening through Western song and to investigate the impacts of using Western song to the students’ listening comprehension. The descriptive qualitative method has been applied to this research, and the sample was taken from the second semester students of English department at Pohuwato University through purposive sampling. To obtain the data, the researcher used test song as the instrument of the research.. The result of the data shows the difficulties faced by the students are did not paid attention to the song topic, lack of vocabularies, less of note taking, did not comprehend the whole song and the last is the students difficult to hold the whole message of the song
