Subjek Radikal Dalam Cerpen “The Red Shoes” Karya Hans Christian Andersen

Abstract

Penetilian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kehidupan seorang gadis perempuan yang tertawan oleh hasrat (desire) kebahagian simbolik, yakni sepatu merah yang amat dicintainya sebagai simbol kemewahan dan kebahagiaan, yang pada akhirnya harus dilepas dengan cara radikal, yakni memotong kakinya sendiri. Tindakan subjek yang melepaskan diri dari jaring hasrat simbolik ini membawa subjek pada tindakan di luar dari tatatan simbolik (norma sosial, agama, dan ideologi).Tentu tindakannya ini merusak stuktur norma yang membentuk kehidupan sosial. Dengan harapan, subjek bisa mencapai kehidupan The Real yang menjadi titik kesempurnaan subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Slavoj Zizek tentang Subjek yang yang terbentuk dalam tiga dimensi: The Real, The Im aginary and The Symbolic. Teori Zizek tentang subjek ini disandarkan pada teori Lacan tentang identifikasi diri subjek melalui fase ‘Mirror Stage.’

Abstract

The Aim of this article is to analyze how the life of a girl captured by symbolic happiness, the ‘Red shoes’ that she loves most as a symbol of luxury and happiness, which in the end should be removed radically, by cutting her own feet. The subject action that breaks away from this symbolic node brings the subject to action beyond the structural symbols (social norm, religion, and ideology). Of course, this action breaks the structure of norms that shaped the social life. By doing that, the subject can reach The Real life as reflection the point of perfection of the subject. This study uses Slavoj Zizek's theory of Subjects that are formed in three dimensions: The Real, The Imaginary and The Symbolic. Zizek's theory of this subject is based on Lacan's theory about subject self-identification through the phase of 'Mirror Stage.'
