Upaya Guru PAI Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Religius Peserta Didik di SMK Negeri 1 Gowa

Abstract

The teaching profession is one of the most important professions. Teachers play a crucial role in character formation. The objective of this study is to understand the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping the religious character of students at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa and to identify the factors that hinder the formation of religious character at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that PAI teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa undertake several efforts to develop students' religious character. These efforts include setting an example, guiding students, applying habituation methods, and collaborating with parents. Factors influencing the formation of religious character include the support from PAI teachers and the Principal in implementing religious programs. On the other hand, the factors hindering the formation of students' religious character include family, environment, peer influence, and digital devices such as the internet.

Abstrak

 Guru merupakan salah satu profesi yang sangat penting. Guru memiliki peran penting terhadap pembentukan karakter. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian adalah mengetahui upaya guru PAI dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik di SMK Negeri 1 Gowa dan faktor yang menghambat upaya pembentukan karakter religius di SMK Negeri 1 Gowa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI di SMK Negeri 1 Gowa melakukan beberapa upaya untuk membentuk karakter religius bagi peserta didik. Upaya tersebut yaitu dengan memberikan keteladanan, membimbing peserta didik, metode pembiasaan, serta kerjasama dengan orang tua. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan karakter religius adalah dukungan dari guru PAI dan Kepala Sekolah dalam pelaksanaan program-program keagamaan. Sedangkan faktor yang menghambat pembentukan karakter religius peserta didik adalah faktor keluarga, lingkungan, teman sebaya, peralatan digital seperti internet.
