PENTINGNYA KETERAMPPILAN MENYIMAK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA

Abstract

Listening is a crucial language skill in Indonesian language learning. Itserves as the foundation for students to understand information,messages, and learning materials delivered by teachers and throughlearning media. This article aims to explain the importance of listeningskills in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. Themethod used in this article is a literature study, by collecting varioussources from books, scientific journals, and relevant articles. Theresults of the study indicate that listening skills have a significantimpact on students' comprehension as well as speaking, reading, andwriting skills. Furthermore, listening skills also help improve students'concentration and critical thinking skills. Therefore, teachers need touse engaging learning methods and media to optimally developstudents' listening skills.
