Analisis Penggunaan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia dalam media sosial
Abstract
The development of social media has brought about significant changesin the use of the Indonesian language. Social media has become acommunication space that encourages rapid, concise, and creativemessaging, resulting in differences in vocabulary usage between thepre- and post-social media eras. This study aims to analyze the use ofIndonesian language comprehension in social media and examinedifferences in past and present language comprehension based on areview of relevant literature. This study employed a descriptivequalitative approach using a library research method. Data wereobtained from books, scientific journals, and research articlesdiscussing linguistics, the Indonesian language, and language use insocial media. The results indicate that comprehension in social media ismore concise, informal, and creative, including the use of abbreviations,slang terms, and loanwords, compared to past comprehension, whichwas more formal and adhered to standard language rules. Thesechanges in usage reflect the dynamics of Indonesian languagedevelopment influenced by advances in digital communicationtechnology
