ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA DALAM KARANGAN EKSPOSISI SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA
Abstract
The purpose of this research is : (1) to describes the error ofIndonesian language in exposition text by the students at classVII of SMP Negeri 4 in Marisa in the academic year2011/2012; (2) causes of error, and (3) the effort which isdone by the teacher and student to solve the error. Thisresearch is a qualitative descriptive research with a samplestudent text SMP Negeri 4 Marisa. The conclusions of thisstudy are as follows. Firstly, the linguistic elements oflanguage errors that often occur in the student text is dividedinto four errors : spelling error, diction, sentence, andparagraph. Secondly, language errors that often occur in astudent text exposition caused by several factors, amongothers: is inadequate of language mastery, lack of examples bythe teachers, the influence of foreign language, lack of writingpeactice, and lack of writing time. Thirdly, the efforts havebeen made to minimize errors include: improving students'language mastery, having more practices in writing,implementing appropriate correction technique, andimplementing a process approach to teaching writing.
