ANALYSIS OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE USERS INROLE-PLAY ACTIVITIES IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of role-playing method on students' communicationskills in Grade IV IPAS (Integrated Science) class. A qualitative approach was utilizes, with GradeIV students from SD Negeri Pedurungan Lor 02 Semarang as participants. Data were collectedthrough observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that through role-playing, students demonstrated significant improvement in their communication skills. They wereable to speak more clearly and coherently, actively listen, interact and collaborate effectively, useappropriate language, and regulate verbal and nonverbal expressions. In conclusion, this researchdemonstrates the effectiveness of the roleplaying method in enhancing students' communicationskills in Grade IV IPAS class. The study provides a deeper understanding of the benefits of therole-playing method in developing students' communication skills. Therefore, it is recommendedthat this method be implemented more widely in IPAS and other subject areas.
