Questions On Understanding Narrative Texts for Students of SDN No. 11 Kota Barat

Abstract

Very important for students to understand text narrative. Reading means understand symbol besides see it. Problem or problem in understand text narrative searching for through this research. In this research, the approach descriptive used to explain problem or difficulties faced​ student moment understand text reading narrative class 4 in online learning at SDN No. 11 West City. The researcher used thirty students from grade 4, with three students as Subjects. Researcher use method observation and testing to measure understanding students. Observation method measure what students​ know about aspect tell a story in reading, and test used to evaluate understanding three the least students. The results of the study show that student experience difficulty in understand text narrative. They experience failure in use indicator understanding reading following: (1) students No can find draft main from text, (2) students No can understand information contained​ in text, (3) students No can differentiate facts and opinions, and (4) students No can make conclusion about text. Suggestions for teachers to implement better reading strategies, as well as suggestions for teachers to carry out analysis reading. so that students more thorough in read and create corset for studying Contents text.
